This closed-door, invite only virtual dialogue is designed to facilitate free and open exchange on the lessons across peers in the region on the pathways towards institutionalizing climate–health governance within health systems.
After a successful first edition on Nepal, Lessons from Indonesia will take a deep dive into how Indonesia is embedding climate considerations within its health system architecture.
Presenter: Dr. Then Suyanti
Director, Environmental Health,
Ministry of Health, Government of Indonesia
The session will unpack policy mandates, legal and institutional frameworks, and how responsibilities are structured across national and sub-national levels.Through this exchange, we aim to better understand the practical mechanics of governing climate and health: financing pathways, intersectoral coordination, capacity-building, and systems for monitoring and accountability.
As part of our ongoing research on climate–health governance, this dialogue seeks to surface actionable lessons, implementation challenges, and replicable models through country case studies that can inform equitable and climate-resilient health systems across Asia.
