Regional Policy Dialogue on Climate and Health Governance in Asia was held on 6 October 2025. This event is convened by The Asian Collective for Health Systems (TACHS), United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU IIGH) together with the Public Health Foundation of India, other regional partners, and institutions committed to advancing health-centered just climate action across Asia.
This policy dialogue brought together senior policymakers and regional actors from Asian countries to contribute to the development of a regional health voice ahead of the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) in Brazil, and to explore strategies for embedding climate resilience into health systems through Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The specific objectives of the dialogue are:
- To contribute to the development of a regional health agenda for climate negotiations, beginning with COP30;
- To identify policy options to institutionalize the convergence of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and climate resilience in health planning and governance;
- To share in-country and institutional experiences in advancing climate-resilient, equitable health systems;
- To strengthen regional collaboration and coordination on climate and health governance.
